As the summer is winding down, we reflect on this year’s baseball and softball adventures and what makes them such a smashing success.

Another epic summer with The North Travel is in the books, and it was packed with unforgettable moments both on and off the field. This year’s baseball and softball trips took us through some of Europe’s most iconic cities, including North favorites like Venice, Prague, Budapest, and Munich, plus some awesome new stops like Milan and Brno. The whole experience was all about competing, connecting, and making memories with our ever-growing North baseball and softball crew.
We hit the field for some serious action, playing in tournaments like Finkstonball in Austria and the Bravo Cup in Zagreb, plus showdowns against top-tier teams like the Austrian Softball U22 National Team. But the trip wasn’t just about the games – it was about the vibe. After the final outs, we were hanging out, grabbing food and drinks, playing pick-up soccer, ping-pong, and just enjoying each other’s company. Everyone had the chance to learn more about what it’s like to play ball in Europe, swap stories, and connect over the sport we all love.

Off the field? Just as wild (in the best way). We caught a soccer game at Milan’s legendary San Siro Stadium, went rafting in the stunning town of Český Krumlov, explored Budapest’s famous ruin bars, and rowed across the insane emerald waters of Lake Bled. Our signature Amazing Races turned exploring cities like Prague and Venice into competitive, laugh-filled adventures.
More than anything though, these trips are about the friendships that come out of it. Whether it was playing in incredible stadiums or getting lost (literally) in the streets of Europe together, everyone walked away with stories they’ll tell forever, and bonds that go way beyond the field.
Long story short: this summer was a massive win. We’re already counting down the days ‘til next year’s adventures.
